My client is seeking a PL/SQL Developer for a contract role.

You will be working on high profile projects on behalf of UK Government Agencies and departments.

The Key responsibilities:-

·         Design complex programs from supplied specification

·         Creates and amends programs and COTS products in accordance with the design

·         Constructs, interprets and executes unit tests.

·         Producing detailed OO or procedural designs using UML with documentation

You will have a excellent understanding of PL/SQL in addition to a good understanding of:

·         Schema objects and the ability to read and write and execute PL/SQL, PL/SQL constructs and Data Types Packages

·         The used of collections and collection methods

·         Application context

·         Cursor management

·         Bulk Operations Dynamic SQL

·         Exceptions and Error Handling

Any experience in the following areas would also be of interest:

·         Experience of Oracle 10g/11g

·         Development using TOAD/SQL Naviagator

·         Knwoledge or appreciation of query optomization

·         Experience of administering Oracle on a unix operating system

·         Experience of Oracle Enterprise Manager

·         Experience of logical/physical database design

·         Oracle backup and recovery scenarios

·         Experience in Java, J2EE, JUnits, Eclipse IDE and UML
